The mission of Indianapolis Parks Foundation is to enhance the recreational, educational, and cultural life of the Indianapolis community by encouraging and soliciting support for the city's parks system.
A not-for-profit organization, Indianapolis Parks Foundation:
- Secures private funding to support our parks system
- Helps Indy Parks and Recreation build a world-class parks system by providing funding for land acquisition, park programs, capital improvements, and maintenance
- Advocates for quality parks and green space in Marion County
Since its inception in 1991, individuals, corporations, and foundations have contributed more than $40 million to help:
- Build new parks
- Maintain existing parks
- Upgrade facilities
- Provide support to numerous programs offered to children, families, and older adults.
