The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), is pleased to announce J. Murray Clark, a partner at Baker & Daniels, LLP, as its new chair. Clark has served on the board since 2005, most recently as vice chair in 2009.
“Murray’s great connections and passion for our community will result in some tremendous advances for The Indianapolis Foundation during his leadership this year. As the Foundation continually looks to deepen our relationships and impact in Marion County, having Murray as our advocate and leader will lead to great success,” said Brian Payne, president and CEO of The Indianapolis Foundation.
Clark succeeds Cynthia Simon Skjodt, philanthropist and community volunteer, who was recently reappointed by Mayor Greg Ballard for a second, six-year term as a trustee.The original 1916 resolution of trust requires The Indianapolis Foundation to have six trustees. Two are appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis; two by the Marion County Circuit Court Judge; and two by the United States District Court presiding over Indianapolis.
