Food insecure seniors often do not know when they may have their next meal or when they may have access to food. Many seniors do not know how or where to go to get food, and friends and relatives may not even know this is an issue for the older adults in their lives.
The Central Indiana Senior Fund is currently offering an exciting RFP opportunity for not-for-profit organizations serving central Indiana’s at-risk senior population. The ‘Alleviating Senior Hunger’ RFP seeks to mitigate senior hunger through increasing awareness of resources and improving access to nutritious foods for our regions food insecure senior citizens. The purpose of the RFP is to develop strategies, strong partnerships, and effective plans to provide food access and resources for Indiana’s seniors at-risk of hunger. The deadline for RFP planning proposals is November 16th. For additional information on this exciting initiative, click here.
