The Indianapolis Foundation Awards $1 Million+ To Area Community and Cultural Organizations and Libraries

The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, and the Foundation’s Library Fund awarded more than $1.1 million in grants and awards to 57 not-for-profits and libraries serving Marion County on September 10, 2013. The Foundation granted $5.6 million in 2013 and has awarded more than $203 million since it began making Community Fund grants in 1924.

The grants were awarded to the organizations listed below within the following categories: Arts & Culture, Education, Civic & Community Involvement, and Health & Human Services. The Library Fund grants total $300,250 and will help 33 Marion County high schools improve their library resources with reading materials, e-books, high-interest selections, and media center technology.
