I’m Greg Lynn. It’s been a blessing to be a part of CICF and its predecessor, The Indianapolis Foundation, since 1977. My career at the Foundation has spanned grantmaking, public relations and publications, management of Foundation interests and investments in real estate, and management of the English Foundation Building and other related properties. It’s a privilege to be entrusted with the temporary stewardship of freely given philanthropic funds, and to ensure that donors’ wishes and intentions over the decades continue to be honored.
Greg serves as Vice President of Real Estate & Facilities for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). He is responsible for managing the Foundation’s three operating sites: The English Foundation Building, Legacy Fund Community Life & Learning Center, and the Foundation’s midtown location at 1405 E. Broad Ripple Avenue. Greg also supervises property management-related activities for program-related investment properties of The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of CICF, and manages Foundation facility remodeling and renovation projects.
Since Greg joined the Foundation in 1977, he has worn many hats. He has been Associate Director and Program & Development Associate for The Indianapolis Foundation and Associate Director of the William E. English Foundation. He also served the Foundation as a Program Officer. Prior to joining CICF, Greg taught high school for nine years at the Academy of Immaculate Conception in Oldenburg, Indiana.
Active in a number of professional and community organizations, Greg represents CICF on the United Way Facilities Maintenance Fund, and served on the Indianapolis Senior Citizen Center Advisory Council. He also was a founding governing board member of the Indiana AIDS Fund. Active memberships include IPD's Downtown District Task Force and Children's Bureau, Inc.'s Properties Subcommittee.
Greg has been an instructor for the United States Power Squadrons Boating Safety Course, and a firearms safety instructor with the 4-H and NRA. Participation with the Hoosier Power Squadron includes: the rank of Lieutenant Commander, service as Public Relations Officer, Audit Committee Chair, and Rules Committee member. He and his collie, Champ, also volunteered in St. Francis Hospital’s PET Therapy Program.
Greg graduated from Cathedral High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
