Hello, I am Roderick Wheeler and I have had the pleasure to serve my hometown community for the past five years. I support CICF’s College Readiness Initiative and truly believe that our community will lead the nation in the number and percentage of students that ultimately succeed in post-secondary opportunities. When I am not working to champion academic success of our young people, I enjoy reading, mixing music, and attending sporting events.

Roderick is a Senior Grants Officer for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). He manages the Foundation’s youth and education grant portfolios. Roderick serves as lead staff for CICF’s College Readiness Initiative and the Summer Youth Program Fund. Roderick’s expertise includes financial analysis and organizational assessments.

Roderick is a native of Indianapolis and a graduate of North Central High School. Roderick earned a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University and a MBA from Franklin University.

In service is Roderick’s mantra. Prior to joining CICF, Roderick served four years in the United States Army and is a veteran of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. Roderick’s public service includes being appointed by Speaker of the Indiana House to the Commission on Disproportionality in Youth Services. Roderick is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
