I’m Tara Seeley and I have the opportunity to work with the leaders of Indianapolis’ not-for-profit organizations and explore how CICF grantmaking funds might be a source of support for the important services the organization provides to the community. Each day is a learning experience, and I am inspired by the commitment, creativity, and compassion that is a hallmark of so many great organizations. I can’t think of a better way to get to know the very best of Indianapolis.

Tara joined the CICF Grants Department in May, 2004. Her grantmaking portfolio includes neighborhoods and community development, homelessness intervention and prevention, domestic violence, and basic needs. She also manages grantmaking from the Indianapolis Foundation Library Fund, a $24.8 million field of interest fund.

Prior to moving to Indianapolis in 2001, Tara provided program and leadership development staffing at a large suburban parish in Montgomery County Maryland, leadership and advocacy training for the Archdiocese of Washington, board leadership for Montgomery Housing Partnership, and served as executive director of Interfaith Housing Coalition in Bethesda, Maryland. She was active in a successful community wide effort to create a $14 million annual housing trust fund for Montgomery County.

Tara earned a joint J.D./ M.Div. degree from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee.
