Legacy Fund announces Inaugural Celebration of Philanthropy

Register now for exciting, new event

Hamilton County, IN, September 16, 2009 – Legacy Fund, an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Fund, announces its inaugural Celebration of Philanthropy, to be held Thursday, November 12 at the Ritz Charles, 12156 North Meridian Street, Carmel. A cocktail hour kicks off the evening at 6:00 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:00 p.m. The evening’s program begins at 8:00 p.m. and concludes at 8:30 p.m.

The Celebration of Philanthropy’s inaugural Living Legacy Award will be given to salute the selflessness and tireless dedication of those who profoundly impact the quality of life and fabric of Hamilton County. The award recipient will be unveiled during the program.

According to Brenda Bush, event chair and board member, Legacy Fund is a community partner, an investor and a helping hand for its neighbors. "Our event is aimed at celebrating and inspiring philanthropy in our community" she said.

"The spirit of giving is alive and well in Hamilton County," says Brad Little, president of Legacy Fund. "We want to see our community come together in celebration while recognizing there is still much to do to help our neighbors and our county thrive."

The Legacy Fund Celebration of Philanthropy event ties into National Philanthropy Day, observed on Sunday November 15, which recognizes some of our nation’s great contributions and contributors of philanthropy.

Tickets are $75 per person. Tables of eight may be purchased for $500 on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation deadline is Thursday, November 5. To register or to purchase a table, contact Legacy Fund at 317.843.2479.
