CICF’s board of directors is comprised of six Indianapolis Foundation trustees, three Legacy Fund officers, and twelve members self-elected by the CICF Board.
CICF will focus on overall Foundation governance and operations, acting as the “holding company” for the family of funds.

The original 1916 resolution of trust requires The Indianapolis Foundation to have six trustees. Two are appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis; two by the Marion County Circuit Court Judge; and two by the United States District Court presiding over Indianapolis. Each trustee is appointed to serve a six-year term.
