Hi. I am Jennifer Pope Baker and I love my job! Every day I go to work knowing I have the opportunity to make a difference for women and girls in our community. I feel fortunate to work with incredibly smart colleagues who are also my friends, and when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family on walks, bike rides, and reading great books together.
Jennifer is Executive Director of Women's Fund of Central Indiana and is responsible for all aspects of the multi-million dollar endowment: asset development, grants, research, board and volunteer management. Jennifer has a keen interest in introducing the concept of philanthropy to young girls and young women and has created two unique programs within the Women’s Fund, GO: Give Back and OPTIONS, to reach these two audiences. Jennifer has been involved on a national level with planning and presentation for the Women’s Funding Network, their conference activities and as a member of the Women Moving Millions program.
Jennifer is active in many volunteer activities, including: The Children’s Museum Guild; International School of Indiana, Development Committee; NCAA, Women's Final Four LOC 2011 and, Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, Strategic Planning Chair and youth education.
Jennifer was named a 2010 Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal; she is a 2007 Hoosier Fellow, a member of Class XXIV of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series, and a member of the FBI’s Citizen’s Academy in 2005. Jennifer was named by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a member of the 2002 class of 40 Under Forty, a distinction given to young adults who have made their mark on Indianapolis before the age of 40.
Jennifer received a degree in Communication from DePauw University. She is married to Christopher Baker and has two children, Catherine and Charlie.
