Indiana Latino Institute

Our mission is to advance Latino educational attainment and workforce preparedness statewide through advocacy, leadership development, and culturally responsive programming.

About the Indiana Latino Institute

The Indiana Latino Institute (ILI) is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing educational attainment, workforce preparedness, and healthier communities across Indiana. For 25 years, ILI has worked alongside students, families, educators, employers, and community partners to create pathways to success and opportunity. While our organization was founded to address disparities impacting Indiana’s growing Latino population, our programs and services are open to all Hoosiers.

Today, ILI serves thousands of individuals annually through programs focused on education, workforce development, leadership development, and community engagement. Our work begins with high school students through college and career exploration, post secondary planning, and college readiness initiatives. We continue supporting individuals through college success programming, paid internships, workforce development opportunities, professional leadership training, and career advancement resources, helping them navigate the path from education to meaningful careers.

One of our signature efforts includes statewide Education Summits and College & Career Fairs that connect students with colleges, universities, employers, and community resources. Each year, these events engage over 3,000 high school students from across Indiana. Through our internship programs, college students gain valuable professional experience, mentorship, and workforce skills that prepare them for successful careers. Our Leadership Circle program develops emerging leaders who are committed to strengthening their communities and advancing Indiana’s future workforce.

As Indiana continues to grow and evolve, many students and families face barriers to educational attainment, career advancement, and economic mobility. ILI works to bridge those gaps by providing direct services, trusted guidance, and meaningful connections that help individuals achieve their goals.

Funding allows ILI to expand and sustain programs that create measurable impact across the state. Contributions support student scholarships and internship stipends, college and career readiness initiatives, leadership development programs, educational events, workforce training, and family engagement efforts. Donations also help us increase access to resources in underserved communities and ensure that programs remain affordable and accessible to those who need them most.

By investing in the Indiana Latino Institute, donors help build a stronger, more educated, and more prepared workforce while creating opportunities for students, families, and communities to thrive. Together, we are helping shape a more prosperous future for Indiana.
