Seeds of Caring
Seeds of Caring empowers kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

About Seeds of Caring
Seeds of Caring is a nonprofit organization that empowers children ages 2–12 to create a kinder, more connected community through service and volunteerism. Programs are intentionally designed to combine age-appropriate education, hands-on service, and empathetic reflection, allowing kids to understand community needs and take meaningful action alongside their families and peers.
By partnering with local nonprofits, Seeds of Caring creates service experiences where kids are truly at the center—packing meals, creating art for hospital patients, connecting with seniors, and more. These experiences build social awareness, empathy, and a lifelong sense of civic responsibility, all skills that shape who they become as neighbors, leaders, and changemakers. Additionally, research has proven that early engagement in service and volunteerism has long-term positive impacts on youth mental health as well as positive social and economic outcomes for communities. In Central Indiana, we collaborate with over 25 nonprofit partners, work within 50+ elementary schools, and curate more than 12,000 child volunteer experiences annually.
Funding support is essential to expanding this impact. Contributions help Seeds of Caring reach more children through school-based programs, deepen partnerships with local nonprofits, and build new collaborations with youth-serving organizations to ensure our work is accessible to all kids, regardless of income or circumstance. Funds are used to support program materials, service project supplies, staff capacity, curriculum development, and community partnerships. With continued investment, Seeds of Caring will help tens of thousands of children grow into confident, compassionate changemakers whose actions strengthen Central Indiana communities now and for years to come.
