Prevail strives to empower victims of crime and abuse on their path to healing while engaging the community to support safe, healthy relationships.

About Prevail

Prevail, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1986, committed to providing lifesaving support to survivors of crime and abuse throughout Hamilton County and neighboring communities. As Hamilton County’s designated Rape Crisis Center and domestic violence service provider, Prevail offers free, confidential services to individuals ages six and up—meeting survivors wherever they are in their journey.

Our mission is to empower survivors on their journey to healing while engaging the community to promote safe, healthy relationships. With a dedicated team of 18 staff members, volunteers, and oversight from our Board of Directors, we work collaboratively with more than 100 partners—spanning government, schools, healthcare, and fellow nonprofits—to deliver trauma-informed crisis intervention and restorative services.

Prevail’s core services include a 24/7 crisis line and intervention, peer support groups, legal advocacy and court accompaniment, self-sufficiency and housing support, case management, trauma education, and safety planning. These programs not only respond to immediate crises, but also help survivors rebuild their lives with stability, dignity, and long-term safety in mind. We are equally committed to prevention—providing education on healthy relationships to 7-12 grade students across Hamilton County to stop violence before it starts.

To meet the rising demand for our services, we are seeking funding to ensure that every survivor has immediate access to an advocate, to expand critical housing support for survivors and their children, and to grow our educational programming aimed at preventing future violence. Your support helps ensure that no call goes unanswered, no survivor is left without help, and every family has a path to safety and healing. With your partnership, Prevail will continue to be a vital lifeline—strengthening individuals, families, and the entire community.
