CICF’s No Minimum, No Fee Donor-Advised Fund makes philanthropy accessible to all. As the name suggests, there is no minimum amount required to start your fund, and your fund is not assessed any administrative or investment fees. While you do not have an assigned Effective Philanthropy Officer, you do have 24/7 online access to your fund via our donor portal, CICF Connect. You also have access to our Effective Philanthropy online help desk with any questions you may have about your grantmaking. We invest your fund in our short-term investment pool, and investment returns, if any, are paid to CICF to help subsidize the cost of your fund. Long-Term Pool: This pool seeks to maximize growth commensurate with a higher level of risk assumed. The Core Pool is diversified across multiple asset classes (global equities, global fixed income, hedge funds and real assets), including several "active" managers, and participates in private investments.

Balanced Pool: This pool is intended to provide the combination of long-term growth with near-term principal. This pool provides participants with indexed and diversified exposure to equities and fixed income, in an appropriate distribution of 60% (equities) and 40% (fixed income).

Short-Term Pool: This pool is intended to protect capital and generate current yield commensurate with high quality short term fixed income instruments. The Short-Term Pool provides participants with an option for investments that are likely intended for shorter term purposes.

I would like CICF to work with my financial manager so I can have my own investment pool.

This can be edited during the fund creation process. Final investment pool language will be noted in the fund agreement.

All new funds started online are “pass-through” funds, meaning that 100% of the fund balance is available for distribution (less fees and expenses).
