Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce an investment of $120,000 over three years in support of Prevail, Inc., a nonprofit that empowers victims of crime and abuse on their path to healing while engaging the community to support safe, healthy relationships.

This round of multi-year funding aligns with the foundation’s new strategic plan, which was informed by the Hamilton County Community Needs Assessment and focuses on one of HCCF’s key grantmaking priorities: housing.

“Prevail exemplifies the kind of bold, community-rooted work our new strategic plan is designed to support,” said Danielle Stiles-Polk, President of Hamilton County Community Foundation. “By investing in this unrestricted grant funding over the next three years, we are helping to build long-term sustainability and deepen the organization’s impact across Hamilton County.”

Prevail will use this funding to advance its comprehensive housing plan for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, and other crimes. It will enable Prevail to strengthen housing case management services, expand data reporting capabilities, and design Hamilton County’s first trauma-informed transitional housing program for survivors.

“This transformative long-term partner grant represents far more than funding—it is a powerful investment in the safety, stability, and future of survivors of crime and abuse in our community,” said Tami Wanninger, Executive Director of Prevail, Inc. “With the Hamilton County Community Foundation’s support, Prevail will expand access to secure housing options—removing one of the biggest barriers our clients face as they begin their healing journey.”

This marks the third multi-year grant HCCF has awarded to help build a more equitable Hamilton County. In 2024, the foundation committed $120,000 over three years to each of the following organizations: Invest Hamilton County and Trinity Free Clinic, Inc. These investments continue a legacy of sustained support for innovative organizations and programs, including Hamilton County Youth Assistance, Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County’s Reaching Resources program, and the Westfield YMCA.
