Central Indiana Community Foundation, Hamilton County Community Foundation, the Indianapolis Foundation, and Women’s Foundation of Indiana are proud to announce the 2026-2027 cohort of Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures: A Planned Giving Cohort, a nine-month initiative designed to help nonprofits build long-term sustainability through planned giving.
The 2026 cohort includes:
- Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre
- Early Learning Indiana
- Gennesaret Free Clinics
- Grace Care Center
- International School of Indiana
- Madam Walker Legacy Center
- Trinity Haven
Participating nonprofits are selected through a competitive application process. This year, Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures received a record number of applications. Nonprofits that are not selected receive feedback on ways to continue strengthening their giving programs, helping them build the foundation needed to make the most of a planned giving program like Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures in the future.
Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures helps nonprofits launch or strengthen planned giving programs by providing expert guidance, staff and board training, peer learning, and practical tools to build long-term momentum. The program is facilitated by Cape Fletcher Associates, a Central Indiana-based philanthropic consulting firm.
Planned gifts, such as those made through wills, estate plans, beneficiary designations, and life insurance, allow donors to make meaningful commitments that can sustain nonprofits well into the future. While planned giving can have a significant impact on nonprofit sustainability, many nonprofits lack the time, tools or internal capacity to build a proactive program on their own.
Over the first five years of Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures, participating nonprofits have secured an estimated $66,532,323 in planned and outright gifts. During the 2025-2026 cohort, participating nonprofits secured an estimated $8.5 million in planned gifts through 154 planned giving solicitation meetings and 44 commitments.
The program is offered at no cost to the participants thanks to support from Central Indiana Community Foundation, Hamilton County Community Foundation, the Indianapolis Foundation, and Women’s Foundation of Indiana.
The support of Stronger Partners, Brighter Futures as a strategic investment in the long-term strength of Central Indiana’s nonprofit sector. By helping organizations build planned giving capacity, the program supports deeper donor relationships, stronger financial sustainability, and greater community impact.
