About Indianapolis Men's Chorus

The Indianapolis Men’s Chorus (IMC) is a vibrant arts organization with a 35-year history of entertaining, educating, and building inclusive community through musical excellence. Founded in 1990 during the height of the HIV/AIDS crisis, IMC has grown into one of Indiana’s most visible LGBTQ+ arts organizations, proudly presenting concerts that blend artistry, storytelling, and advocacy. With over 70 singing members and a dedicated leadership team, the Chorus reaches thousands annually through mainstage productions, outreach performances, and community partnerships.

IMC is committed to using music as a vehicle for connection and change. Our programming spans Broadway, classical, pop, and original works, often framed with humor and heart, but always with a message of inclusivity. Beyond the stage, IMC provides impactful outreach initiatives such as the Echo Project, an anti-bullying program for schools; performances at the Indiana AIDS Walk and Pride Festival; and Harmony & Home, which brings music to senior living communities.

To sustain and grow this impact, IMC depends on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and grants. Funding supports essential needs such as artist and staff compensation, venue and production expenses, music licensing, and educational outreach. Investments also enable us to expand programming, build community partnerships, and strengthen organizational capacity, ensuring IMC can serve as both a cultural and social resource.

Your support helps bring to life transformative performances that not only entertain but also inspire dialogue, foster belonging, and uplift LGBTQ+ voices in central Indiana. With continued investment, IMC can remain a source of pride, joy, and connection for singers and audiences alike.
