About Indy Art Center
The Indy Art Center, home to the Marilyn K. Glick School of Art, has served as a creative hub for over 90 years, providing accessible and inclusive art experiences that inspire creativity, foster education, and strengthen community connection. Located in Indianapolis, our campus includes six public art galleries, 17 state-of-the-art studios, and the 9.5-acre ARTSPARK sculpture park, all free and open to the public. In 2024, we expanded our reach with the opening of the Fishers Art Center, bringing visual art programming and exhibitions to new audiences in Hamilton County.
Each year, we offer more than 1,600 studio art classes in 13 mediums for over 8,00 students of all ages and skill levels. Our free community programs, such as ArtReach and ArtTroop, extend access to those who may otherwise face barriers to the arts, serving more than 3,000 youth, seniors, and military-connected individuals annually across our city. These initiatives, combined with 25+ exhibitions, numerous public events, and free access to ARTSPARK, allow us to reach nearly 200,000 visitors annually.
Philanthropic support ensures that arts education remains affordable and accessible, while sustaining our ability to provide high-quality instruction, tuition assistance, free community programs, exhibit space for contemporary artists, and maintain our 9.5-acre ARTSPARK sculpture park. Community support is integral to our vision of a community made better, stronger, healthier, and more creative through art.
