About Perry Township Education Foundation

The Perry Township Education Foundation (PTEF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the educational success and well-being of students within Perry Township Schools, located in the southside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Serving a diverse and vibrant community, PTEF partners with educators and community stakeholders to fund innovative programs that enhance learning opportunities and address barriers to student achievement.

With over 75% of Perry Township’s student population classified as economically challenged, the need for support is both urgent and widespread. PTEF provides essential funding for 24 school programs across the district, helping bridge the gap between limited public funding and the growing needs of students and teachers. These programs span areas such as STEM education, literacy development, arts enrichment, student leadership, and career readiness.

Funds raised by PTEF are used to provide classroom grants to teachers, sponsor student-centered initiatives, and support district-wide programs that improve educational outcomes and promote equity. Whether it’s purchasing supplies for hands-on science experiments, providing books to boost early literacy, funding field trips for experiential learning, or supporting after-school programs, every dollar invested directly impacts students’ daily learning experiences.

As the community continues to grow, so do the needs. PTEF is committed to ensuring every child—regardless of their economic background—has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. With continued financial support, PTEF can expand its reach, deepen its impact, and help create a brighter future for all students in Perry Township.
