Servants at Work, Inc
Servants at Work (SAWs) is a community of dedicated volunteers whose mission is to restore dignity and promote independence for those with permanent disabilities living in low-income households by building handicap access ramps. We aim to build freedom one ramp at a time.

About Servants at Work
Since 2003, SAWs has built handicap access ramps for Hoosiers with physical disabilities or long-term mobility challenges that live in low-income households. SAWs covers 70 of the 92 Indiana Counties and has partnerships with other ramp builders in most other counties. By building ramps, people’s freedom, dignity, and independence are restored. Ramps allow people to safely egress to/from their homes, go to medical appointments, visit friends and family, and re-engage with their community.
SAWs mobilizes thousands of volunteers around Indiana to process ramp applications, do site surveys, create custom ramp solutions, lead ramp builds, and build ADA-compliant ramps. We look to invite new volunteers from corporations, churches, service organizations, and neighborhoods to help restore people’s freedom. Many volunteer roles are available. No construction experience is necessary.
SAWs looks for funding support used to purchase new pressure treated wood, aluminum ramp parts for the most urgent cases, fasteners, and general overhead of our pre-fabrication locations around the state.
