TechPoint Youth
TechPoint Youth ensures Indiana's underserved and underrepresented K-12 students have access to experiential learning opportunities that increase STEM knowledge and inspire STEM career exploration.

About TechPoint Youth
Through in-school experiences, robotics, and mentorship, we help schools and community organizations reach learners who might otherwise be left out of STEM. Operating across all 92 counties and engaging roughly 70,000 students each year, we focus intentionally on populations underrepresented in STEM industries today, which is primarily girls and students of color while supporting educators with training and resources. Our programs connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, foster teamwork and problem solving, and open pathways to high-demand careers.
To sustain and expand this impact, TechPoint Youth seeks flexible funding in four areas. First, launch and sustain robotics teams by underwriting robot kits, field elements, spare parts, tools, and coach support through the State Robotics Initiative. Second, strengthen teacher and mentor development via training, stipends, and turnkey curricula. Third, grow equity-focused program funds to remove barriers for girls and students of color and to expand in-school and after-school STEM across Indiana. Fourth, invest in lean operations so we can steward resources effectively; our typical spend is 85% programs, 10% administration, and 5% fundraising. Investment in these priorities removes cost barriers, improves instructional quality, and expands access to transformational learning. With partners across education, industry, and philanthropy, TechPoint Youth is ready to scale what works, so every Indiana student, regardless of ZIP code or background, can design, build, and compete with confidence, discover career-aligned interests, and take the next step toward a thriving future in STEM. We track participation, persistence, and skill gains, and share results with partners to drive continuous improvement statewide each year.
