About the Warren Arts & Education Foundation
The Warren Arts & Education Foundation (WAEF) exists to remove barriers and create opportunities so that more than 12,000 students and their families in Warren Township can thrive. We believe equity in education is essential, and we work hand-in-hand with schools, families, and community partners to ensure every child has the resources and support they deserve.
Through our CORE Stores and Warriors Resource Centers, students and teachers access free classroom supplies, clothing, hygiene products, and essentials that restore dignity and open the door to learning. We champion literacy through innovative initiatives such as book vending machines, family engagement events, and our Read & Rise program—ensuring children have the foundational skills to succeed.
We also invest in futures through workforce readiness programs at the Walker Career Center, preparing students for high-demand careers in health care, trades, and technical fields. At the same time, we address the growing mental health needs of our community by supporting trauma-informed practices, providing resources, and expanding access to services that help students build resilience and thrive.
Our reach extends beyond the classroom through the Moorhead Community Resource Center (MCRC), a vital hub that connects families to food, housing, health care, and other wraparound supports. Together, these efforts create a holistic system of care that empowers students to learn and families to build stability.
Every investment in WAEF is an investment in brighter futures, stronger families, and a thriving community. Together, we can continue breaking down barriers and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
