Wayne Township Education Foundation
The Wayne Township Education Foundation (WTEF) provides community leadership to enrich, engage, and stimulate teaching and learning in the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township by supporting school programs and resources, while recognizing excellence.
About Wayne Township Education Foundation
WTEF believes that every child deserves access to quality experiences and resources. Experiential learning is at the heart of the opportunities funded by the Wayne Township Education Foundation. For 34 years WTEF has funded teacher innovation through programs that enrich, engage, and stimulate student learning, while recognizing teacher and student achievement.
The Wayne Township Education Foundation (WTEF) serves the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township (MSD Wayne) in Indianapolis, Indiana. WTEF helps equalize access to enrichment and cultural opportunities with innovative programs and grants that allow the district’s schools and teachers to bring hands-on experiences to students in the classroom. Additionally, WTEF is committed to helping MSD Wayne with its most critical issue – teacher shortage – by providing scholarships to classified staff members (e.g., paraprofessional, school secretary) who want to become teachers and have some college credits toward a bachelor’s degree in education.
Key Funding Areas for WTEF Include: Future Educator Scholarships, Teacher Grants, Literacy Mentoring, Student and Staff Recognition, Theatre and Science Camps, and Teachers’ Treasures School Supply Memberships for Staff.
