Support Indiana Elks Charities

For more than 75 years, Indiana Elks members have worked together to fight cancer, raising over $11 million to support the cause. These funds have launched discoveries, supported young cancer doctors, and helped turn promising ideas into life-saving treatments. Indiana Elks Charities has supported the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research for decades—providing resources that help doctors and scientists save lives.

Now, we’re taking the next step in that legacy.

Indiana Elks Charities has established a permanent endowment fund with Central Indiana Community Foundation. This fund ensures we can support the causes Indiana Elks care about for generations to come, with earnings from the fund providing annual support, while the original gift continues to grow.

Why Give to the Endowment?

To protect what we’ve built—and keep it growing.

An endowment is like a savings account that works harder. Each year, 4–5% of the fund is distributed to support Indiana Elks-led cancer research efforts, scholarships, and charitable programs, while the principal remains invested and continues growing.

That means a one-time gift of $5,000 could provide $250 every year—forever.

And by pooling our fund with CICF’s robust portfolio, our investments have access to sophisticated management with higher long-term potential. We can also accept complex gift donations such as stock, real estate, closely held business, tangible personal property, and collectibles.

Your Donation Matters
  • Indiana Elks funding helped develop new treatments like Pluvicto® for prostate cancer.
  • Indiana Elks launched the careers of young doctors and scientists.
  • Indiana Elks made research possible that benefits Hoosiers, and the world.
