How to Claim Your Scholarship

Congratulations! You have been awarded a scholarship through the Central Indiana Community Foundation. Simply log in to your Scholar Profile and follow the steps below to ensure your scholarship money is transferred to your school. All steps need to be completed in the SmartSimple portal.


‘How to’ Steps

Step 1

Accept your Scholarship Award in your Scholar Profile. Payment forms will only become available to view after you accept your award.

Step Two

Under “Pending Payments”, complete your Scholar payment form for the current year only.

Step 3

Monitor your payment status from “Approved” to “Processing” under the Pending Payments tab. Once it has been paid, it will move to “Completed Payments”.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once the payment has been processed on CICF’s end, it can take up to 2 weeks for your school to process and apply the funds to your tuition bill.

Your scholarship can be used towards tuition, fees and room and board unless it has been specified in your award letter. This does not include summer sessions, internships/co-ops or study abroad.

 

You need to let us know as soon as possible. We can hold your award for up to one year, but you must notify us in advance.

If you have a renewable scholarship, you will have to fill out a payment form each year that you received the award. The funds will be sent directly to your institution.
