Hamilton County Community Foundation Awards $98.5K In Grants

GraEIGHT HAMILTON COUNTY NOT-FOR-PROFITS RECEIVE PROJECT FUNDING

Hamilton County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Central Indiana Community Foundation, announced today grants totaling $98,500 would be awarded to eight not-for-profit organizations serving Hamilton County. The grants align with the foundation’s community leadership initiatives: mental health, family and youth empowerment, and inclusive economic growth.

Grants were made possible by the unrestricted Endowment for Hamilton County and field of interest funds, including the City of Noblesville Fund, the Don Johnson Endowment Fund, the Northern Hamilton County Fund, and the Westfield Endowment Fund.

The organizations and projects receiving funding are:

  • Camptown, Inc. ($5,000) for programming support for the Pathfinders Program for Sheridan youth in 2021
  • Englishton Park Presbyterian Ministries ($7,500) to support the Englishton Park Children’s Summer Camp Program
  • Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc. ($15,000) to support the Hamilton County Mobile Pantry Program
  • Mama’s Cupboard, Inc. ($7,500) for program operations and support
  • Noblesville Main Street, Inc. ($2,500) for support to implement SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) at the Noblesville Farmers Market
  • Servants at Work, Inc. (SAWs) ($6,000) to support the building of wooden wheelchair ramps for individuals with disabilities who have low or fixed incomes via Ramp Up Hamilton County
  • Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County ($10,000) to support the Community Caring program
  • Trinity Free Clinic, Inc. ($20,000) to support their Strategic Plan Action Initiative, Phase 1 expanding vaccine clinic locations in Hamilton County

In addition to the above grants, the board also approved the foundation’s continued support of the LINK Advisory Council ($15,000) and a contribution to the Community Scholarship Fund ($10,000).

The board of directors approved these grants at the March 16, 2021 meeting and were awarded on March 25, 2021.
