Women’s Fund of Central Indiana Names New Development Director

Kamala Spencer recently hired as Women’s Fund development director

Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, a special interest fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, announced Kamala Spencer as its new development director.

Working closely with the Women’s Fund board, Spencer will coordinate successful and sustainable development, fundraising and donation campaigns that support the transformative work of Women’s Fund. Prior to joining Women’s Fund, Spencer was a territory and district manager for General Motors Corporation and served as a sales manager at Automotive Distributors, where she focused on training, customer retention and market and profit growth strategy.

The mission of Women’s Fund to serve women and girls closely aligns with Spencer’s own passion.

“The door of opportunity should be open to every women and child. The investment of time, resources and energy to take aim at the critical issues that affect the heart and soul of our community is necessary, and leads to a stronger, more viable community for all.”

-Kamala Spencer

Spencer received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma—the International Honor Society for Business and Management Education.
