Top 5 Reasons to Attend Celebration of Philanthropy

Every November, Legacy Fund honors the good work of people and not-for-profit organizations in Hamilton County. But every year is different, and this year is no exception. In fact, here’s five reasons to secure your ticket today.

Top 5 Reasons Not to Miss Celebration of Philanthropy

1. It’s a not-for-profit-palooza

How often are 44 not-for-profit organizations serving Hamilton County in one room? At Celebration of Philanthropy, you’ll have the chance to learn more about 44 local organizations focused on mental health, mentorship, counseling, music, senior care, history, parks and more.

2. Watch three $5,000 grants get awarded

This year, we’ll debut the first Legacy Fund Community Pillar Awards. Individuals or corporations were nominated and chosen by a committee earlier this year. We’re pleased to announce the winners, but you’ll have to wait until Celebration of Philanthropy to find out how each award recipient will grant the $5,000 they’ve been provided from Legacy Fund. Each recipient will surprise a not-for-profit of their choice with the $5,000 grant.

3. Meet the new Legacy Fund team

Legacy Fund welcomed its new president, Tom Kilian, to the team in April of this year. Meet Tom and hear his vision for the future of the foundation at this year’s event. Legacy Fund also hired Shanna Young as its coordinator and Brittany Rayburn as its director for development—Brittany previously worked in community investment with a focus on Hamilton County.

4. Support the Hamilton County community

Celebration of Philanthropy is a celebration of the transformative role philanthropy plays in our community. By joining us at Celebration of Philanthropy, you are supporting our foundation’s work in the community and not-for-profit organizations doing great work in Hamilton County. Additionally, half of your ticket costs will be tax-deductible.
